I think if you are doing something "wrong" (and i use that term loosely) the first thing (hopefully) that other players would do is say something, like "Hey Andy, we don't need to kill all those guys, come on." If you do feel like PUGing (because it is more efficient in groups) having a mic set up is very helpful. Well it's considerate that you are leaning in on this. You have to make a quick choice (hint, hint while waiting for the elevator on the roof of Lex). If you are farming hard-core, there's no way you can spend too much time comparing the non-classy stuff you will get. Oh and try to trim your inventory and have a plan on what to do with the TONS of loot you will get. When people are seriously farming they can get a bit salty if you are dawdling around.

So this is a long-winded answer of saying one way to get ready is to work on a build and practice Lex and / or Hudson to get fast. With Lex the two elevator rides give you two mini-breaks. So it wears me out after like an hour straight. And in fact you can skip several parts of Hudson by just running past enemies. Hudson is probably a little more efficient (more bosses at the end), but for me, Hudson is ALWAYS moving or shooting. With a decent PUG group you should get around 9 min or less per fun easily, could be less depending on the modifiers. Lex is reliable and most PUGs can complete it. So yea, a Clear Sky run is better than Lex, but there's also a chance you wipe, or it's hard to find folks, etc. People will say Clear Sky heroic is more efficient, but in my experience you need specific builds and people actually have set roles. There are a lot of opinions out there, but IMHO the two most efficient missions to farm are Lex and / or Hudson challenging.
